THE BEST WAY TO GLUE DOWELS for WOODWORKING

When doweling pieces together, sand a small flat on one side of each dowel before inserting them. This allows any excess glue to escape when you clamp the joint. If you don't let the glue escape, the pressure could force the joint open again.
